Re: check engine light is lit

Hi Duane;

    It usually means the ECU has stored a trouble code. You can read the
codes by inserting a spare fuse in the top of the fuel pump relay for 4
seconds and counting the flashes of the check engine light. This gives you a
4 digit trouble code which points to a problem the which the ECU, in it's
infinite wisdom, has identified.
    Complete details on the procedure and the meaning of the codes are
available on Scott Mockry's website at www.sjmautotechnik.com

    You really should get a Bentley - it will save you big $$$ if you can do
even some of your own repairs.
