Auto Trany

Should an auto trany in drive or reverse make the car move slightly when
the gas pedal isn't depressed?  Maybe 5k's auto trany doesn't, but my 80
used to get angry at me when I held the brake pedal to long at a stop
light in drive.  It would shake and shimy after about aminute, I would put
it in Neutral and everything would chill out.  Now it's fine, but still
likes to go when in drive, mind it not all that quickly but likes to go!
