HELP - UrQ Cruise Control Won't Stay On

Car: 1984 UrQ 102k miles

		Anyone run into the symptom before of a cruise control that
acts like mine:  hold the button in to set the speed  and feel the gas pedal
take up some slack.  Release the button and nothing happens.  When I bought
the car and drove it home from AZ it worked great; then all of a sudden it
quit doing anying.  Now I get that strange pedal take up but nothing when I
release the button.

		This is driving me nuts, since I have a somewhat leaden foot
and it sooo easy to speed in this car.

	Help.
