Need Help with Radio Display

The radio Display/engine check display in the middle of the dash of my S4
does not work.  Well the engine check part does work, the radio station
display part does not.  I have a signal comming from the radio on the purple
wire labled DATA, the Green wire comming out of the radio labled CL has
nothing comming out of it.  I checked for continuity on the wire and it is
there.  So, what is the CL (green wire) comming from the radio supposed to
do?  I checked every connection on the radio and behind the guage cluster. 
I can't find anything wrong or broken.  I giggled all the connections and
got nothing.  Any ideas?
