Re: Need help finding a TQ Wagon

Florida Car, a used car dealer in Traverse City, Michigan, that gets
wholesale cars from several Florida dealers, had an '89 200 TQA (dark red)
that I drove about two weeks ago, the day after they got it in. It looked
pretty decent, seemed to ride straight and shifting was positive, but the
car wasn't as "quick" as my '87 5KTQ sedan. Maybe it's the additional
wagon weight. The in-dash turbo meter said 1.2 going uphill in third at
WOT at about 70 mph. The "ABS Off" light was on all the time and it
definitely didn't have ABS (wet pavement made a test easy). Rear hatch
struts were weak and the ignition/door/glove box key wouldn't operate the
hatch lock, but central locking would secure it. The radio also didn't
work. Asking price was about $7,000, which I thought was high.
