I suppose one could go in and put in a temperature fusible link on the
power lines of the speakers. It would have to be strategically located
on or near the amp board within the speaker enclosure to work. The links
are cheap, only a dollar or two and come in many temperatures. I use the
160 deg. F ones in heat exchangers, and on small dc motors. These are
definately a "crimp" connector item unless you are good with a heatsink.
Soldering them will open 'em right up.
