New one is an 89 200q, Pearl/black, 194,000 miles, Tap chip, A8 rims. By next
week, V8 tail lights and 'C' pillar covers.

Type 44 spotter's guide...
78-83 square body style, round headlights (euro had large rectangular).
84 up - new aerodynamic body.
84-85 all had 4 rectangular headlight system with chrome bezels.
84-88 are 5000/S/CS, 89-91 are 100 (non turbo), 200 (turbo).
All non turbos 86 and up had trapezoidal 'aero' headlights, trapeziodal grill. 86
up turbo/quattro have the rectangular headlights and rectangular grill. (Non
turbo quattro had aeros)
87 and earlier had raised door handles and the trunk lock in the middle of the
trunk lid. 88 had raised door handles and trunk lock moved into the light bar. 89
- 91 had flush door handles (black) and trunk lock in the light bar. 91 200q only
had flares in addition.
90-93 V8 - upgraded nose, more aggresive fender flares than 91 200q, all red tail
lights, flush doorhandles painted body color, turn signal lenses 'wrap' around
corner of bumper cover. 'C' pillar vent covers smooth vice ribbed (5K/100/200).
