Tranny/driveline shudder

Something has been bothering me for some time....

In certian conditions I feel something that really bothers me.  Car is an
'89.5 200TQ.  Let me explain....

When I am under acceleration (under load), lets say, in third gear.  Maybee
3000 rpms or so, and I let off the gas.  Nothing sudden or violent in my
footwork.  And, then I hop on the gas again.....again gently, not
violently....  it produces a rather violent jerk in the driveline!  Feels
like something flexing or poping.  Not very comforting.... especially when I
think about the price of rebuilding the prop shaft and having it dynamically
balanced.  I guess I could depress the clutch when I am doing this...but I
really shouldn't have to.  Should be enough RPM's to not have to engage the
clutch.

Anyways.... wondering how normal this is or if there is something wrong???
Any info would be appreciated.  I know I need new motor mounts and maybee
tranny mounts.... Anyone think this might be a result of bad mounts????

Any info appreciated.  This is an occasional situation, but does bother me
as it feels like its putting stress on parts that don't deserve it.
