Rough running 4000q

1986 4000csq
Help... My baby is running a bit rough at idle and seems to
stumble/stutter when power is put on till about 2700 to 3000
rpm's. Any ideas ?  I looked over the vacuum lines and
replaced a couple that looked suspicious to no avail.
Thought it may be a cylinder not firing so I disconnect one
plug wire from the dist. cap and restarted finding that the
engine ran the same. Any listers experienced this ? TIA.
