What does wonders for Dark leather in desert sun, is window tinting.  I have 
20% tint on my car and I use a Sun visor all the time.  Leather looks and 
feels great(sounds like a commerical :-).  Gotta keep those nasty UV rays off 
the leather, but then again we dont' get any sun in Seattle...=)
