seeking insurance advice (minimal Audi content)

I was rear ended by a Volvo going in to work this morning. My car doesn't 
look so bad though I'm sure there's more damage than is apparent. (The front 
end of the Volvo was pretty smashed.) One thing that worries me is that my 
exhaust system took a good hit and is knocked forward several inches and now 
rattles badly.

What do I need to do to make sure I get a fair estimate from the other 
driver's insurance company? Should I get my own estimate from an Audi 
dealer? I want to make sure that they don't go and try to use cheapo parts, 
especially if the exhaust system needs to be replaced.
