This is absolutely correct.  When I was in high school, I had a VW bug with
a heavily modified 2 liter engine that could pull a wheely off the line
(with street rubber!) and run high-12's - low 13's in the 1/4 mi.  Imagine
my shock when a stock-appearing Chevelle ate me for lunch one day!
