Re: Wheels Rubbing!

Definately is true. I found the Pirelli 7000 205/50-16 to be narrower
than some other tires of the same size. At first this irked me a little
since mounted on A8 wheels, they did not fill out the wheel wells on my
'91 200 very well. I'm glad I went with the 205/55's though rather than
the 225/50's because I ended up getting an '88 5kcstq and I put the A8
wheels on there. (I put the 15" BBS' back on the 200.) The 16's would
not have fit the 5k had I gotten the 225's to start with.
And to clarify, I'm getting slight rubbing on the plastic inner fender
in the rear of the 5k, but not enough to bother me, or make me want to
take the wheels off. It has been suggested that if I had all suspension
parts in good order and a good alignment with the rear set to -.5 deg
camber, there would be no rubbing.
