MC Rod bolt torque setting

I pulled one if the rod caps off of my 87 5000 MC engine last night to
 check the bearing for wear. The bearing was hunky dory but when I was
 ready to torque the rod cap down I found three different torque
settings. The Bentley specified 46lbs or22 plus 90 degree turn and
Haines
 specifies 37 lbs.  I don't have the 4 notches on the nut so it leaves
 the 46lbs or the 37lbs.  What is the correct setting?
