yes and no...

If it will bolt up and work (higher ratio final drive though probably),
the '87 will have a hydraulic clutch, the '82 a cable operated one.  The
pedals for both are the same (the hydr. one still has the place to
attach the cable).  So, if the bolt up is the same, you will still have
to make some decisions and swap some clutch parts one way or another.  

(disclaimer: Errors in this reply may occur due to my not having torn an
87 4 cyl 4k apart...)
