postive vendor report
Some of you might remember me posting some questions about replacing my
window regulator on my 4KCSq. A couple of months ago, I purchased a
replacement unit from Blaufergnugen (see vendors list on website if
you're not familiar with them).
I was disappointed when I received the unit and it wasn't the exact same
design as my existing unit, and it required some modification to the
door and window frame to make it work. Plus it didn't seal properly. I
contacted Blaufergnugen, and received a prompt response stating they
would do a fitting in their shop to see if they could find a solution to
my problem. They have since done so, and mailed me a package with a new
instruction sheet, complete with photos, and a supplemental parts
package to adapt the unit to the car. I have not installed the
supplemental parts, but I anticipate it will work well (I'll keep you
posted). Jim Blau took things a step farther, and offered me the
opportunity to return the component for a complete refund, and due to
the delay in their response (it did take a few weeks) gave me a token
credit to my account there.
Anyway, I thought it was fair that I'd mention this positive result--too
often we only tell of bad things that happen to us. And if you did
receive an ElectroLife unit from Blaufergnugen in the last 8 months
(when this part first became available) and are having alignment
problems, please contact them for the supplemental kit and
instruction--I'm sure they'll take care of you as they have me.
Thanks,
Dave Nevin
