The air shroud, yes. But you don't need to remove the plate. The
injectors can be removed quite easily with a bit of fiddling and
careful pulling - I changed the seals on an MB engine yesterday with
no problems at all.
If all else fails, you can pull the injector out 1cm or so and undo
the union with either flare nut wrenches or (my personal favourite)
two high-quality adjustable wrenches. I use Bahcos.
