Along the lines brought up by the M3...

Hello all,

My wife's brother just bought a adnoH Civic si (with VTEC).  I have some
respect for the VTEC (redlines at 8k), but, it is still a N/A 4 cylinder. 
Anyhow, he keeps talking about how fast it is (I try to correct him and tell
him it isn't 'fast' but 'quick') and how it is so much faster than my Audis. 
Now, I haven't driven his civic, so, I really don't know what to say to him. 
I just smile and let him believe what he will; however, engineering-wise, what
are the major differences here?  I know that from 3rd on I could easily handle
the anything his car could do.  Also, I've never considered a
front-wheel-drive car a true racing car.

What points can you guys give me?
