By Hook or by Crook- the Audi "test drive"
Apparently, the new Audi TV and print advert campaign is more powerful than
we thought. Just marvel at the perseverance of this affluent Connecticut
youth to get a test drive in an Audi.

"Teens Day Ends In Birthday Suit And A Stolen Car"
by Tracy Gordon Fox Courant Staff Writer
What do you do when your teenage son arrives home from a rock concert naked,
driving an expensive car you've never seen before?
James Michael ______'s father thought it best to call the police.
The confused father told officers his son pulled into the driveway about
11:30pm Sunday sans clothing or shoes, but with a 1998 Audi that did not
belong to them.
It turned out that the 18yo _____ needed some wheels to make the nearly 60
mile drive home to Ridgefield from East Haddam, where he was with friends at
an all day rock concert.
The day of partying, which included some hallucinogenic mushrooms, apparently
left him disoriented, and he passed out. When he woke up, he tromped through
the woods and sloshed through a cove. Emerging from the woods, he shed his
clothes and kept walking, police said.
Neighbors noticed a naked man walking earlier in the evening, but did not
call the police. No one saw him enter a house on Cove Road, by breaking
through a rear door, after tripping over and breaking some lawn furniture.
He took a beer from the refrigerator, and rummaged through drawers before
finding a key for the Audi, police said.
Then, he drove home naked. Police were perplexed that _____ stole only a
baseball bat, not clothes, money, or jewelry from the home.
When he arrived at his father's front door naked, his father thought at first
that it was a prank. Then he saw the car.
The son was taken to the Colchester State Police barracks and faces burglary,
larceny, and criminal mischief charges.
"It's really tough to see your child shackled in handcuffs," said the father.
"But it's always right to do the right thing."

Imagine, the youth foregoes the oppt'y to steal common goods and concentrates
on the really important thing---getting to drive the Audi!!
We've heard the "back seat romance" and "cowboy/self-defense" stories, now
it's time for memorable "Audi test-drive" stories.
Ciao!
