RE: Steering Rack - Attack!!!!



Where do you live Jim?  While learning can be expensive, once you know how
its done it really isn't that difficult to do a rack swap.  I know if you
lived near me I would be willing to help you do the swap ... perhaps there's
someone near you who is willing to lend a hand.  As long as you've got a
replacement rack (the Jorgen SS sleeved rebuilt is my recommendation) and a
half a day on a weekend it should be a snap.  

I drove my '88 5kCSQA around with a leak for quite a while ... the downside
to doing this is that the Pentosin tends to ruin things like clutch hoses
and other rubber parts that it might drip on.
