	Older Audis, even when new, don't have that tight feel a newer car 
may have.  In my experience, the control arm and sway bar bushings made the 
biggest differnece.  Tie rod ends dont have any play to begin with, and 
either will ball joints unless dangerously worn...in my experience, a strut 
tie bar made a difference in the tightness (turn in, over bumps) of the front 
end.  Dont forget about strut bearing in the front.  With the wheel off the 
ground, there should be very little vertical up and down movement of the 
front strut assembly...keep checking for play and looseness, and fix 
accordingly...
