Well, I still haven't replaced that clutch that many of you
suggested I
should. I keep thinking, "what if it's something else?"
(hope-hope-hope)
You may recall I had a pulsating clutch pedal beginning
about a month ago
and a kind of "loose change" rattling noise--but no slippage
at all. Still
		doesn't slip.

The pulsing has inexplicably stopped, but the rattling has
now graduated to
a high-pitched squeeeeeeeeal at the beginning and end of
the clutch pedal
range of travel. The unrealistic part of me keeps hoping
it's just some
kind of linkage problem. The other, costs-a-lot-of-money
part of me, says
the throw-out bearing has gone dry.

"Sure sounds like the kind of squeal a dry bearing makes,"
he whispered in a
voice that was at once sorrowful and discouraged. 8-p Not
much point in
replacing just the bearing, is there?

So, I need a few of you to tell me, "give it up, Kurt, the
bearings hosed.
		Replace the whole works"

		Thanks,
