I'm sure you have a good reason for considering this, but I can't help 
but be reminded of the NA 20v in Porsche 924 thread.  It would seem to
be
much easier to sell the car and buy one with a stick.  And with
the prices of 5k's these days, you could probably upgrade to a tq with
out
spending big $ (it would even be a newer car by a couple years).
