the bomb

after performing the bomb test recently, the pedal got stiff after a
few pumps. does this mean the bomb is history and i should replace it?
is there any maintenence i could perform? I remember reading this was a
maintenence item, but don't remember where. maybe I could just change
the hydralic fluid?
