Fuel Pump Relay HELP!

Need some expert advice on a fuel pump relay problem.  My car (1985 
4000SQ) had a 4 cylinder fuel pump relay, would only rev to about 5800 
rpm.  I got a new fuel pump relay and this fixed the revving problem (it 
now runs to redline at 6300 rpm) but caused another problem.  Now the fuel 
pump won't shut off when the car is shut off.  If I pull the relay or the 
fuse it will shut off, and then works fine until I shut the car off again. 
 If I put in the 4 cylinder relay, the fuel pump shuts off fine, but it 
also doesn't build pressure prior to start-up (with the 5 cylinder relay, 
the pump runs for a few seconds in run before I start the engine).  Do I 
have the wrong relay, or do I have another problem with the fuel pump 
circuit that didn't show with the 4 cylinder relay?
