Motronic or KE-Jet?

Anyone know what fuel system my '88 80 4 Cylinder runs?  I have been
working on the premise that it is KE-Jet for a while.  Silver fuel
distrib. w/ small gray control box on the side of it.  Carbon canister,
diff. pressure regulator, no permanent fault memory, Check Engine System
works with light installed...  That sounds like KE-Jet to me, but I got a
copy of the service intro manual for Audi mechanics when the 80 came out,
it says CIS-Motronic with engine mapping.  I don't think the fuel system
is that advanced.  Anyone familiar with what to look for in the
differences between KE-Jet and Motronic?  Besides the obvious chipping
ability, which TAP says can't be done on my car, so I still think it's
KE-Jet(CIS-E).  Thanks again.
