ETKA question

Questions for those who have succesfully setup ETKA.
Do you need all the files from the ftp site or is etka_all.zip enough? Assuming
 etka_all.zip has everything in it, is it feasible to unzip all the files from
it onto a CD rom and run etka from there? Can it just install a skeleton
application onto the PC and keep and use all the data from the CD? Is this
workable or you have to keep everything on the HD? Any other hints or
suggestions?
