Lowering Springs



I am lowering my '88 80 considerably, -60mm, which is about 2.5inches I
believe.  I got a letter from a lister who says that the tie rods
attachment points will need to be moved, is this true?  The person I am
getting the suspension from used it for about a year and a half, he said
nothing about screwing around with tie rods and such.  He runs 17x8" rims
as well, I will hopefully be running 15x7 w/ 205/50 rubber with the car
lowered 60mm, is this a plan for disaster?  Will have some stiff shocks,
Koni Yellows(Adj.) to augment the springs.  Any suggestions for planning,
or calculating problems I may have?
