Lowering
Well I calculated the exact lowering height: -60mm ~ 2.36in. The
conversion is 2.54cm = 1in. I talked to the guy I am buying them from, he
said that he used them with stock size wheels and tires(175/70 14") and
17x8" with 215/40 tires. He has had no problems with either setup,
although he had the fenders pushed out for the 17" wheels. I also have
pictures of his car in both forms and it doesn't look frightfully low. I
think that is because the 80 FWD has mucho ground clearance, 5.6in. I
measured from the lowest parts of the car on a flat surface and found that
it was 10.1in. at the lowest now. I'm not sure how they measure ground
clearance though. I think I should be fine with my 14" steels w/ 185/70
with the car lowered until I can find the right alloys I want. I'll
findout next week when the suspension comes in! Thanks for all the input
on wheels, suspension, and such!
Thanks,
