Transmission swap

Can the auto transmission from a 5000 non turbo be replaced by one from a turbo
car.  The drive plate has 3 bolts vs 4, but can the drive plate be switched without
problems.  Are there other problems I would run  into?  My 5000 wagon won't move,
--something in the transmission.  Just stopped while going down the road. No noise,
ATF looks & smells OK, just 87000 miles on an '86.  Anyway, I have acess to the
transmission from a turbo car for a very reasonable price, and wonder if this can be
made to work.  TIA
