Again, its spring rate and dampening.  Take a ride in my 4kq that has 
coilovers, konis and sits at slightly ABOVE stock ride height and then 
compare it to your H&R's.  

Lowering is psychological for the most part...it helps wtih center of 
gravity SOMETIMES, but not always....
