Dave Eaton has written several detailed breakdowns of gearing, etc. but
from a gross standpoint, all of the 6 speeds that I've seen in ETKA seem to
be minor variants of the 01E box, which was used in the 6 speed S2, RS2,
20V S4 and S6, and S6+ with a V8. The only difference between the S4/S6 5
speed (US spec cars got the CBD) and closest ROW 6 speed (the CBL) is that
3rd through 5th gears are swapped out for closer ratios, and the CBD's 0.73
(5th gear) is used as 6th. All other significant internals (bearings,
shafts, shift forks, etc.) are identical. A good ETKA reference for CBD vs.
CBL is A10Q, year 93, MG 3, SG 11, Illust. 311-50.
