RE: 200 TQ Questions



Another think you may check.  I'm not sure if it applies to the 200 tq but
on my 89 90q there is a "multi-function" temperature sensor that is screwed
in at the coolant pipe bolted to the side of the head.  One of the things it
does is control whether or not the AC can turn on. I am not sure why this
feature is there.

The way to test this is to remove the plug form the sensor.  When I did it
in my car my AC was able to come on. As this sensor also sends signal to
your water temp gage, you will notice that the guage does not work.

Anyway, if your car uses this famous sensor it may be a problem.  My sensor
recently went and everything worked except the AC.  I replaced the sensor
and i have AC
