Type 44 list

Regarding the type 44 list:

I don't think it's a bad idea, but I won't be joining, even though the only car I own is a type 44.  Why?  For starters, I have enough trouble keeping up with the volume of mail on the Quattro list, I don't want to join another list which in all likelihood would duplicate much of what is/has been discussed on the main list.  When I have the time, I read all the posts, even those (most) that don't pertain to my car, because they might be useful to me in the future.  I'm not always going to (just) own a type 44 car, and when I buy something newer, it would be nice to know what I'm getting into.  Plus, a lot of the discussions, while geared towards particular vehicles, contain general info applicable to other cars.  If you work on cars in your spare time, like me, you can probably use all the information you can get.  Why limit yourself to one model/platform?
