FRAUD ON 89 200TQ - BEWARE ILLINOIS LISTERS

Hi everyone,

First, thanks for all of your support and answers regarding my queries
on the 89 200TQ.  Turns out things that sound too good to be true many
times are.

If you recall, I posted a couple messages about a 200TQ w/only 74k
miles.  Well, after all of the normal "checks" I did as an Audi
enthusiast (the car passed), I ran a CarFax report (by the way, not a
bad way to spend $20).  Turns out the car has about 2 times the mileage
posted, and was titled as recently as 3 months ago with 20,000 miles
MORE than it has now!  AND, 3 years ago, it was titled with 30,000 mile
more than that!!

After further web browsing tonight for other used car candidates, I
stumbled across the following ads on trader online.  Seems that my
"private seller" has several more Audi's for sale, all with
suspiciously "Low Mileage".  As a public service to all of my fellow
listers in the Chicago-land area, here are the ads (notice the phone
number - supposedly a guy working from his apartment with a "garage
space" in Naperville, IL).  My advice, avoid at all costs, and wish me
luck in my search.

THE ADS (the first ad is the one I looked at for $5,900 advertised in
the Chicago Tribune):
