The wheels may have been off of a Jetta GLI. I had a 1987 GLI 8v that
was shod with 6"x14" 4x108's. Discount Tire told me they were 4x108
after VW dealer told me they were 4x100. I pulled a wheel and found
they were  in fact 4x108's. I checked the ETKA, Discount Tire, VW,
and several other places a couple of months ago finding that all are
in lockstep 4x100 for the Jetta GLI's. I know what I know but
haven't been able to convince a soul of it otherwise.
