The distributor trigger pickup could be bad, the one on my former 4kcs was, 
and that led to my no spark connection.  You can check the resistance of 
the sensor, if it is an open circuit then its bad.  If it is anywhere near 
the spec resistance, then it is OK. (They either go bad, or not, they don't 
kinda wander off)
