Re: bashing Detroit
There is hope, one of Chrysler’s top dogs is a friend of a friend, and the
younger top execs seem to hold promise. He's a car nut and builds show
cars, and is responsible for the greatly improved (IMO) designs there.

Scott,
I have to agree to an extent. Chrysler seems to be ahead of the pack in
building decent American cars (maybe they learned something from Mitsu).
Also the Caddy STS & the like seem OK though I haven't driven one.
The problem is Detroit thinks the way to compete with Euro cars is to put
some black rubber on the key head, mount switches on the steering column
stalk and give the car a number instead of a name. DOESN'T WORK IMO.
