093 Tranny Question

Hi again all,
    Decided today to start on replacing the clutch on my 83 CGT today.  Are 
there any tricks to separating the tranny from the engine?   I've got 
everything apart, and the tranny supported and slid back about 2" from the 
block, but it's just not separating the last bit.   Don't want to mess 
anything up, so any suggestions on a clean separation are appreciated.  
Bently says to pry the tranny back and lower it to remove.  Question is, is 
it back far enough to lower?

Also, how heavy is it?  Do I need to use the tranny jack, or can I just 
remove it singlehandedly?
