Rick I posted the 60 amp fuse (that's what I use aftermarket, cuz 80's are
hard to come by), to clarify, Audi uses an 80amp fuse there.
All older model audi cars can use the following AUDI part numbers to upgrade
to the ground fuse found on 91 200t> audi cars
281 937 505 A = FUSE BOX
N 017 125 3 = 80 AMP FUSE
443 971 845 AM = MOUNTING BRACKET
N 014 128 1 = qty 2 \
N 012 005 3 = qty 2 \ MISC HARDWARE
N 011 556 2 = qty 2 /
N 013 966 12 = qty 2/
For those not following this thread, audi uses this setup to avoid (when the
fan bearings freeze up) sending 80+ amps of 12v+ to the fan ground. My
understanding is that this could possibly cause electrical fires when the
fuse is not installed. Minimum, it can easily fry your electrical harness.
ALL FUSE CAR OWNERS: If you blow that fuse, you need to get a new fan motor
ASAP or sooner.
