Hi Michael;
Have you had the sending unit out of the tank, to replace the fuel pump
or check valve perhaps? If the unit is not installed in the proper
orientation, the float assembly can get hung up and will not register low
levels. I had this happen on my '86 5ktq after a check valve replacement.
