Alternator brushes

I've just fitted a set of brushes (Audi 049 903 515C, Bosch 1 127 014
022-850) to my ur-quattro's alternator - 034 903 015K.

Really neat little kit - cost the local equivalent of $6, which is a
sight cheaper than a new voltage regulator and a _DAMN_ sight cheaper
than a new alternator.

It took a couple of seconds to work out how the kit works. In the end,
I used a hobby-type bench drill holder and held the regulator in a
toolmaker's vice. You drill out the old bushes from behind with a 3mm
drill, insert the little ferrule things from behind, assemble the (new)
springs on the (new) brushes and thread them through from the front.
Messrs Bosch kindly provide a neat little wire leader to make the
threading easier.

All told - one of the easiest electrical jobs there is.
