Brake pads and Audi deals
Baby goes in for service tomorrow because her check engine light has come on.
Today, the worn brake pad light came on as well, Geesh!
I was wondering if I should replace with different or special pads. I'm going
to have it done at the dealer ($74 hour labor) because I have a road trip
planned for Tuesday and I really don't have any choice. I just want to go in
there sounding like I know what's going on. If anyone has a guesstimate on
the cost that would be great, I don't want them to see me coming.
Any words of wisdom would be appreciated.
BTW, I got a postcard in the mail for 10% off on parts and labor from another
semi-local dealership, not the one I use, they never have any deals. A fact I
remind them of every time I'm in there...not that it does any good except to
get me an "Oh no! Here she is again," look. The card came from Program
Headquarters in Irvine, CA, so I would assume (big mistake) its a national
deal, haha. Also, as part of the offer, is a chance to win an A4 1.8T.....for
a year. First I thought, big whoop, and then I thought, Baby could use a year
of R&R, while I tool around in that! But, I bet by the time you pay all the
fees attached to the free lease, it probably costs a fortune to
win. <G>
