UrQ VIN# discrepancy?

I can't believe it took me this long to notice this...  While detailing my 
'83 UrQ underhood today, I noticed that the VIN-like number on the firewall 
is quite different than that on the A-pillar.  The VIN on the A-pillar is 
WAUDCO85XDA900460, while the # underhood is WAUZZZ85ZDA900460.  The various 
matching digits tell me they're related, but I was unsure whether they should 
be the same.  Also, if anyone could assist me in decoding the VIN (build #, 
etc...), it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much!
