Replacing the top "tank" on radiator, 88 80q????????

Hello, how do you go about replacing the top plastic tank on an 88 80q???? 
What kinda seal should I use?
what tools do I need? How is the best way to be sure that it will not 
leak..ya I know all you say it will...but still, I wana do this, so how :)

Please don't tell me about how it will not work...just what is the best way 
to try :) Thanks a lot for any info!!!
