RE: 86 4000S stalling after warm
It was buzzing alright.
However, a second before the motor would shut off, you could here it change
to a higher pitch (starving for gas apparently). I don't know exactly
what's wrong with the pump. Something got hot and kept it from
sucking/pushing any more gas. There is a check valve at the output of the
pump, but I think it was ok. (At least in mind, I hope it wasn't the check
valve, or else I spent a couple hundred dollars needlessly.)
