I troubleshot the codes which lead me to the Hall sender, realized that the 
lead wires to the distributor were worn through and repaired the insulation.

I now get spark, but can only get the engine to run by rotating the 
distributor while my wife turns the key. Once started, the engine runs at 
2400 rpms and won't restart unless I rotate the distributor once again. ( 
once started, I lock the distributor's position prior to attempting to 
restart) Any ideas? (bad distributor?)
