Good news ..and BAD

First the good news. My TTquattro is scheduled for delivery sometime in
September=) Now if only I knew the final cost....Ordered Lake Silver with
Gray Lthr. I was very curious about the cloth with vinyl nubbies but
couldn't obtain a sample. Sport and convenience option packages. The front
drivers I test drove were extremely solid feeling. The shifter felt great.
Exhaust emits a nice rumble.

Now the bad news. My wife ran into the back of a Pontiac who decided to stop
midway through a merge. My 89 200 Avant now has a broken nose. More
specifically, bumper, grill, and left front quarter will need replacement.
Both headlights unbroken and still light but left unit points down at 45
degrees. As far as I can tell, engine, radiator and frame all untouched.
Kinda glad I haven't gotten around to installing the Euros ;( But all of
this has caused me to consider the option of installing a European spec
bumper assy. Anyone BTDT??? Since the insurance needs to buy a new cover
anyway maybe I can arrange for a European replacement. I'd appreciate any
pointers especially help from our continental listers....

Thanks,
Peter
