Bumper cap?

OK. Today I find that some rotten @#$% dinged my rear bumper cap, below the 
"beltline". It looks as if someone had given it a sigle medium-hard "whack" 
with a small chisel. The overall ding/scrape is about a 2"x2" and there is a 
teensy bit of perforation. Since the car is black it's very, very difficult 
to see unless pointed out. I only noticed because I was washing the car.

Question: How much is fixing this likely to run me? Could I get a new bumper 
cap and bolt it on myself? Any suggestions?
