Glare-Free Mirrors

Hi,

I have '91 CQ and '98.5 A4.  I noticed that the '99.5 A4 come with glare-free
mirrors that directly mount on the windshield.

Can I just fit a '99.5 A4 rearview mirror on the windshield of these two cars
and expect glare-free performance?  Am I missing something here?
